What Does the 9-Hour Course Actually Include?
The 9-hour beginner course follows the IKO Level 1 curriculum spread across 3 to 4 days. It covers:
- Kite theory and meteorology
- Safety systems and self-rescue
- Body dragging (with and without a board)
- Water starts
- First independent rides
At the end you receive IKO Level 1 certification – the internationally recognised standard that lets you hire equipment and ride at kite beaches worldwide. Everything is provided: kite, board, harness, helmet, and impact vest. You bring a swimsuit and sunscreen.
